A TM is a database
that contains previously
translated segments. This tool is typically used
in conjunction with a CAT (Computer Assisted Translation) tool.
Mostly suitable for translating technical documents, TMs accelerate the translation process while ensuring
text consistency, therefore, reducing costs for long-term projects or the translation of subsequent versions of a document.
A TB is a database
that contains bilingual or multilingual company or industry-related
terms and concepts.
A company very often has its own language and approves certain terms over others. A company or industry-related TB ensures that the right terms are always used, enhancing the consistency and the quality of the company's communication.
